The Living Tapestry of Hani Terrace: A Yuanyang Chronicle
This photographic pilgrimage documented the ancient Hani Rice Terraces in Yuanyang, Yunnan, using a Sony A6700 with a Sigma 56mm F1.4 lens, utilizing a "FL (film)" style.
The winding ascent offered early photographic glimpses of the valleys and everyday scenes.
The terraces represent a stunning, massive form of earth art, revealing geometric patterns that shift with the light and highlighting the Hani people's sustainable co-existence with their environment. Sweeping views captured the grandeur of this agricultural infrastructure.
Beyond the panoramas, the trip focused on quiet observations, capturing serene details and the mesmerizing optical effects of the terraced landscape, occasionally contrasting with reminders of the modern world.
The journey was a dedicated photographic tribute to one of the world's great agricultural wonders.
