A Modern Overture to an Ancient Marvel: A Morning in Beijing
On November 26th, a quest for the Great Wall began in Beijing with a search for a traditional local breakfast under a crisp, clear sky.
The taxi ride offered an unplanned architectural tour, documented with a Sony A6700 and TTArtisan 50mm F1.2 lens. The camera captured modern Beijing's grand scale, including the CCTV Headquarters, SOHO developments, China Poly Group, and the FFC building, all stark against the azure sky.
The breakfast hunt led to a bustling local spot, fueled by the quintessential Beijing favorite: Arctic Ocean orange soda.
Refreshed, the journey continued as the glass and steel cityscape gradually yielded to approaching mountains and traditional structures, including a striking red building. The blending of urban and natural landscapes, alongside functional city elements, was captured. The final image of a clear blue sky with sunstars served as a promising prologue to the day at the ancient Great Wall.
