Longgang, Shenzhen: A Day with the Ricoh GR II
A recent sunny weekend was dedicated to documenting Longgang, Shenzhen, using my Ricoh GR II with the positive film setting.
The photography session began in the bustling metropolitan area. I focused on the vibrant urban scene around a commercial building, capturing the flow of pedestrian and bicycle traffic. The moment also included a vendor selling food—sweet potato and yam—just as a bus with a flashing silver Logo sped past.
Shifting focus, I captured a public space dedicated to recreation, filled with scenes of happiness, fun, and leisure. I photographed a child holding a balloon and families enjoying a picnic, their dishware and serveware neatly spread out.
The session concluded with a moment of tranquility by a body of water. The pond offered a captivating, clear reflection of the bank and water resources. This peaceful scene of leisure by the lake, shared with a trotting welsh corgi, provided a quiet finish to the day's documentation.
