Qingxi in Yellow: A Dawn Photography Walk with the Sony A6700
The walk through Qingxi began before dawn, centered on the color yellow. The initial sights included a yellow ginkgo leaf silhouetted against the blurry, distant tail lights, signaling the town's awakening. Indoors, a yellow star shape sticker glimpsed through a window offered a peek into domestic life.
The municipal and commercial spaces were also marked by yellow. This included a yellow trash can on a black tile floor, a single chair with a yellow seat, and the familiar yellow background of a "no parking" sign on a metal door. Even infrastructure contributed to the theme, like the yellow flash from a motorcycle tire's "ABS" plate.
As the sun rose, the focus broadened, capturing the morning commute and a speed limit sign reflected in a mirror.
The persistent yellow of late autumn and winter nature then took center stage. The journey highlighted a tiny yellow Brassica Napus flower and a yellow tomato flower nestled among green leaves. The golden hour illuminated a yellow leaf clinging to a tree branch, while more detached yellow leaves scattered the pavement like small bursts of color.
The urban and natural elements continued to intertwine. A yellow cross walk sign stood on a pole, contrasting with a vibrant yellow Petunia Bee's Knees flower nearby. Reasserting the urban theme, a black and yellow no parking traffic cone was right next to the flower. The walk concluded with a quiet, final echo of the morning's chosen hue: two yellow leaves resting softly on a car window.
