Capturing Ganzhou in the Rain: A Lumix GM1 Journey
Despite the persistent Ganzhou rain, a photographic stroll with my Lumix GM1 and 20mm F1.7 lens, using the "Expressive" picture style, captured the vibrant city's essence. Rain-enhanced textures of ancient brick walls and slick cobblestone alleys were early subjects, using settings to emphasize moisture and subtle movement. The architectural landscape, including temples and a striking red lantern, was photographed, adjusting aperture and ISO to isolate subjects and handle lower light. Lunch in a local eatery became a culinary photo opportunity, carefully composing dishes with a soft background. A lull in the rain offered a quieter exploration of public spaces, capturing power lines and a red umbrella. As evening arrived, city lights reflecting off wet streets provided the final photographic moments.
