Jieyang at Night: Lumix GM1 Street Photography

Following our return to Dongguan from an enlightening period in Zhangzhou, we decided to intersperse the long travel with a refreshing overnight stopover in the city of Jieyang. Our arrival at the pre-booked hotel in Jieyang coincided with the descent of night, casting a cloak of darkness over the urban landscape. We checked in, settled into our rooms for a brief respite, and then, eager to explore, we ventured out to immerse ourselves in the enigmatic atmosphere of the city streets after sundown. I made sure to bring along my trusty companion, the compact yet capable Lumix GM1 camera, paired with the remarkable 20mm F1.7 prime lens, a setup known for its low-light performance and exceptional sharpness. The dim illumination and the vibrant life of the city at night offered a fascinating challenge, one that I accepted wholeheartedly, capturing the following photos.
