Shanghai Lunch at Yuan Yuan

Introduction

On July 2nd, 2025, I used my Ricoh GR II to find authentic Shanghai cuisine at Yuan Yuan Restaurant. Its logo on a wood-stained door welcomed me. Inside, a light fixture illuminated the interior, highlighting furniture and leaves in the daylight. From my window seat, I viewed the urban area and vehicles on the road from this lively public space. My meal featured a floral design in a black iron flowerpot, contrasting with sunlight. Exquisite tableware and serveware held diverse, vibrant dishes, with delicate dishware and paper products. A quintessential Shanghai lunch.
