Moth Orchid Photography in Qingxi

In February 2025, I embarked on a photographic journey in Qingxi, Dongguan, Guangdong, China, to capture the delicate beauty of Moth orchids. Armed with my Sony A6700 and Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN lens, I focused on the intricate details of these flowers.

I began with the yellow orchids, using consistent settings: 1/30s shutter speed, ISO 100 or 125, and F/4.0 aperture. The Creative Style VV2 enhanced the vibrant colors. As I progressed, I explored pink and green orchids, experimenting with shutter speeds and angles.

Most photos were taken at F/4.0 with focal lengths between 59mm and 75mm (FL35). Shutter speeds and ISO were adjusted based on lighting conditions. Unexpectedly, I also captured photos of toys, adding a playful touch.

This journey allowed me to appreciate the beauty of Moth orchids and expand my photographic skills.
